The Membership Map – Navigating the roads of Recruitment and Retention for YOUR chorus
This class looks at both the Recruitment and Retention aspects of chorus life and   how they are both important to the health of a chorus. Every chorus’s journey is different and we will look at tools and resources that are available, as well as share some ideas that each chorus can use in their journey. Feel free to email any   questions or topics you might want addressed to Lindsay at membershipsai25@gmail.com.

Lindsay’s involvement in barbershop singing began in 1994,when she sang lead with mixed youth quartet, The Mixed Nuts, in Montreal,QC, Canada.

To say that she considers barbershop a hobby, would be a slight understatement. It is more of a lifestyle, really. She holds membership in 3 barbershop organizations:Harmony, Inc. (1996), and Sweet Adelines International (2001) and the Barbershop Harmony Society (2009).

She has performed at the International level in both choruses and quartets and has seen some competition success as a quartet singer. She is a three-time International Quartet Champion in Harmony Inc.,a Rising Star Champion(SAI – 2002)and a Sweet Adelines International Quartet Medalist. She is the bass of the 2020 Sweet Adelines International Silver Medalist Quartet, TITANIUM.

She has experience as a front line Chorus director in both Harmony,  Inc. and BHS,and when not directing or singing with her quartet, she enjoys coaching quartets and choruses and teaching classes. She serves the Heart of America Region 25 (SAI) on the Regional Faculty   as an Associate Faculty member and on the Regional Management Team as the Regional Membership Coordinator.

Of course, to afford this hobby, she does have a day job.She is   currently employed as a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist at   Mitchell, an Enlyte company.

Lindsay lives in Frisco, TX, with her husband (fellow barbershopper), Mark Holdeman.
